The Lynn Community Enrichment Program (LCEP), a collaboration between the New Lynn Coalition and Lynn Public Schools, is dedicated to providing adult education and enrichment opportunities to the community. With the support of a federal ARPA grant, we are committed to expanding our reach and doubling community participation over the next four years. To achieve this growth, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated part-time Community Outreach Specialist.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the growth and expansion of the Lynn Community Enrichment Program (LCEP). Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with New Lynn Coalition partners, faith organizations, parents in Lynn schools, labor organizations, and other community entities to drive community participation and engagement.
- Building and nurturing relationships with various community stakeholders to maximize the potential of LCEP.
- Implementing creative strategies to effectively reach and engage diverse segments of the community.
- Assisting in the coordination and organization of community outreach events and activities.
- Utilizing Microsoft programs and social media to effectively communicate and connect with the community.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive in approach to outreach and engagement.
- Proficient in English and other languages spoken in Lynn, such as Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Arabic.
- Familiarity with Microsoft programs and social media platforms.
- Prior experience in community outreach or a related field is a plus.
Terms of Employment:
- Temporary Position: Part-time Community Outreach Specialist
- Hourly Rate: $25 per hour as 1099 or $ 22.5/hour as W2 Employee
- (flexible schedule, including some Saturdays)
- Contingent on ARPA grant deadline , with summers off
